Impatience

7:150 When Moses returned to his people, angry and grieved, he said, "Miserable is what you have done after me; do you wish to hasten the action of your Lord?  aʿajil'tum amra rabbikum" He cast down the tablets, and took his brother by his head dragging him towards him. He said, "Son of my mother, the people overpowered me and nearly killed me, so do not make the enemies rejoice over me, and do not make me with the wicked people."27

20:84 He said, "They are following my teachings, and I came quickly waʿajil'tu to you ilayka  my Lord rabbi so you would be pleased."

75:16 Do not move your tongue lisānaka with it to make haste litaʿjala.3

19:84 So do not be impatient taʿjal; for We are preparing for them a preparation.

20:114 Then High above all is God, the King, the Truth. Do not be hasty walā  taʿjal with the Quran before its inspiration wayuhu  is completed to you, and say, "My Lord rabbi , increase zid'nī  my knowledge ʿil'man."13

17:18 Whoever yurīdu l-ʿājilata, We will hasten ʿajjalnā for Him what he wishes, then We will make hell for him a place which he will reach disgraced and rejected.

75:20 Alas, you all tuibbūna l-ʿājilata.

76:27 These people like the l-ʿājilata, and they ignore a heavy day.

11:69 Our messengers came to Abraham with good news, they said, "Peace" He said, "Peace," and it was not long before he came back with biʿij'lin ḥanīdhin

51:26 Then he went to his family and brought biʿij'lin samīnin.

21:37 The human being is made of ʿajalin. I will show you My signs, so do not be in a tastaʿjilūni.8

7:148 The people of Moses, in his absence, wa-ittakhadha from their ḥuliyyihim ʿij'lan jasadan lahu khuwārun . Did they not see that it could not speak to them, nor guide them to any way. They took it and turned wicked.26

20:88 He then produced for them ʿij'lan jasadan lahu khuwārun. So they said, "This is your god and the god of Moses, but he had forgotten!"

2:51 We appointed a meeting time for Moses of forty nights, but then you took the l-ʿij'la after him while you were wicked.16

2:54 Moses said to his people, "O my people, you have wronged yourselves by taking the l-ʿij'la, so repent to your Maker, and face yourselves. That is better for you with your Maker, so He would forgive you. He is the Forgiving, the Compassionate."17

2:92 Moses had come to you with clear proofs, then you took the l-ʿij'la after him; you were wicked!

2:93 We took your covenant, and raised the mount above you, "Take what We have given you with strength, and listen." They said, "We hear and disobey!" and they had wa-ush'ribū fī  qulūbihimu l-ʿij'la  by their rejection. Say, "Miserable indeed is what your acknowledgement instructs you if you are those who acknowledge!"28

4:153 The people of the book ask you to bring down to them a book from the heavens. They had asked Moses for even more than that, for they said, "Let us see God plainly!", so the lightning bolt took them for their wickedness. Then they took the l-ʿij'la after the proof had come to them, and We pardoned them for this; We gave Moses a clear authority.44

7:152 Those who took up the l-ʿij'la will be dealt with a wrath from their Lord and a humiliation in this worldly life. We thus punish the fabricators.

17:11 The human invites to evil with his invitation to good, and the human became ʿajūlan.

48:20 God has promised you abundant spoils that you will take. Thus He has faʿajjala this for you, and He has withheld the people's hands against you; that it may be a sign for those who acknowledge, and that He may guide you to a straight path.

18:58 Your Lord is forgiving, with mercy. If He were to judge the people for what they had already earned, He would laʿajjala for them the retribution. No, they have an appointment, beyond which they will find no escape.

17:18 Whoever seeks the life of l-ʿājilata, We will ʿajjalnā for Him what he wishes, then We will make hell for him a place which he will reach disgraced and rejected.

10:11 If God were to yuʿajjilu for people the evil as they desire is'tiʿ'jālahum of good for them, then they would have been ruined. We thus leave those who do not wish to meet Us wandering in their transgression.

38:16 They said, "Our Lord, ʿajjil for us our punishment, before the day of Reckoning."

20:83 "What has caused you to aʿjalaka  ʿan  your people O Moses?"9

2:203 wa-udh'kurū God during a number of days. Whoever taʿajjala  in two days, there is no sin upon him; and whoever delays, there is no sin upon him if he is being righteous. Be conscientious of God, and know that it is to Him that you will be gathered.

46:24 Then when they saw the dense cloud heading towards their valley, they said, "This is a dense cloud that will bring to us much needed rain!" No, this is what you had asked to be is'taʿjaltum; a violent wind with a painful retribution.

10:50 Say, "Do you see if His retribution will come to you by night or by day, then which portion would the criminals yastaʿjilu in?"

42:18 Those who do not acknowledge it seek to yastaʿjilu  it, while those who acknowledge are concerned about it, and they know that it is the truth. Certainly, those who dispute the moment have gone far astray.

13:6 They ask you to wayastaʿjilūnaka with the doom rather than the good, yet the examples of those before them have already been given. Your Lord is with great forgiveness to the people despite their transgression, and your Lord is severe in retribution.

22:47 They seek you to wayastaʿjilūnaka the retribution; and God will not break His promise. A day with your Lord is like one thousand of the years you count.7

29:53 They wayastaʿjilūnaka you for the retribution! If it were not for a predetermined appointment, the retribution would have come to them. It will come to them suddenly, when they do not expect.

29:54 They yastaʿjilūnaka you for the retribution; while hell surrounds the ingrates.

26:204 Was it not their wish that Our punishment be yastaʿjilūna?

37:176 Do they seek to yastaʿjilūna Our retribution?

6:57 Say, "I am on a proof from my Lord and you have denied it. I do not have what you tastaʿjilūna towards; the judgment is with God only; He carves out the truth, and He is the best analyzer."9

6:58 Say, "If I had what you are tastaʿjilūna for, then the matter between us would have been resolved. God is fully aware of the wicked."

10:51 "When it occurs, would you then acknowledge it? While now you are tastaʿjilūna it on!"

27:46 He said, "My people, why do you tastaʿjilūna with evil ahead of good? If you would only seek God's forgiveness, perhaps you will receive mercy."

27:72 Say, "You may already be being followed by some of what you tastaʿjilūna."

51:14 "Taste this trial of yours; this is what you asked to be tastaʿjilūna."

51:59 The transgressors will have the same fate as their previous friends; so let them not be yastaʿjilūni

46:35 Therefore, be patient like the messengers of strong-will did before you and do not tastaʿjil regarding them. On the day they will see what they have been promised; it will be as if they had not remained except for one moment of a single day. A proclamation: "Are any destroyed except for the wicked people?"

16:1 God's command has come; so do not tastaʿjilūhu  it. Glorified is He and High above the partners they have set up.1

21:37 The human being is made of ʿajalin. I will show you My signs, so do not be tastaʿjilūni.8

75:20 Alas, you all like this l-ʿājilata.

76:27 These people like the l-ʿājilata, and they ignore a heavy day.

11:69 Our messengers came to Abraham with good news, they said, "Peace" He said, "Peace," and it was not long before he came back with a biʿij'lin anīdhin.

51:26 Then he went to his family and brought a biʿij'lin  samīnin.

7:148 The people of Moses, in his absence, made from their ornaments the ʿij'lan  jasadan  which had a sound. Did they not see that it could not speak to them, nor guide them to any way. They took it and turned wicked.26

20:88 He then produced for them a statue of a ʿij'lan jasadan that emitted a sound. So they said, "This is your god and the god of Moses, but he had forgotten!"

2:51 We appointed a meeting time for Moses of forty nights arbaʿīna  laylatan, but then you took the  l-ʿij'la  after him while you were wicked.16

2:54 Moses said to his people, "O my people, you have wronged yourselves by taking the l-ʿij'la, so repent to your Maker, and face yourselves fa-uq'tulū anfusakum. That is better khayrun for you lakum  with your Maker, so He would forgive you. He is the Forgiving, the Compassionate."17

76:24 So be patient fa-iṣ'bir for the judgment of your Lord, and do not obey from them any sinner or ingrate.
76:25 Remember the name of your Lord morning and evening.
76:26 From the night you shall prostrate to Him and praise Him throughout.
76:27 These people like the current life yuibbūna l-ʿājilata, and they ignore a heavy day

21:37 The human being is made  ʿajalin. I will show you My signs, so do not falā tastaʿjilūni.8
