Strive

saʿā (سَعَىٰ)
(2:205:3) ... he strives ...
(53:39:6) ... he strives (for), ...
(79:35:5) ... he strove (for), ...

2:205 If he gains power, he seeks  saʿā to corrupt the earth and destroy its crops, and people's lineage. God does not like corruption.

53:39 The human being will have what he sought saʿā.

79:35 The day when the human remembers all that he strove for saʿā.

yasʿā (يَسْعَىٰ)
(79:22:3) ... striving, ...

79:22 Then he turned away (in a hurry) yasʿā

wasaʿā (وَسَعَىٰ)
(2:114:11) ... and strives ...
(17:19:4) ... and exerts ...

2:114 Who are more wicked than those who prohibit God's temples; so that His name not be mentioned in them; and they seek wasaʿā their destruction? It is they who should not be able to enter them except in fear; they will have humiliation in this world and in the Hereafter a painful retribution.

17:19 Whoever seeks the Hereafter and strives for it as it deserves wasaʿā  lahā  saʿyahā, and is an acknowledging person, then their effort saʿyuhum is appreciated.

saʿaw (سَعَوْا۟)
(22:51:2) ... strove ...
(34:5:2) ... strive ...

22:51 Those who seek  saʿaw to obstruct Our signs, those are the dwellers of hell.

34:5 As for those who sought saʿaw against Our signs to frustrate them, they will have retribution of painful affliction.

yasʿā (يَسْعَىٰ)
(80:8:4) ... striving, ...

80:8 As for the one who came to you seeking yasʿā.

yasʿawna (يَسْعَوْنَ)
(34:38:2) ... strive ...

34:38 As for those who sought yasʿawna against Our signs, they will be brought to the retribution.

wayasʿawna (وَيَسْعَوْنَ)
(5:33:7) ... and strive ...
(5:64:40) ... And they strive ...

5:33 The recompense of those who fight God and His messenger and seek to wayasʿawna corrupt the land, is that they will be killed or crucified or that their hands and feet be cut off on alternate sides or that they be banished from the land. That is a disgrace for them in this world. In the Hereafter, they will have a great retribution;8

5:64 l-yahūdu said, "The hand of God is tied-down!" Their hands will be tied-down, and they will be cursed for what they have said. No, His hands are wide open, spending as He wills. For many of them, what has been sent down to you will increase them in aggression and rejection; and We have cast between them animosity and hatred until the day of Resurrection. Every time they ignite the fire of war, God puts it out; and they seek wayasʿawna to make corruption in the land; and God does not like the corrupters.

tasʿā (تَسْعَىٰ)
(20:15:10) ... it strives. ...
(20:20:5) ... moving swiftly. ...
(20:66:12) ... (were) moving. ..

20:15 "The moment is coming, I am almost keeping it hidden, so that every person will be recompensed with what it strived tasʿā ."4

20:20 So he cast it down, and it became a moving tasʿā serpent!5

20:66 He said, "No, you cast down." So their ropes and staffs appeared from their magic as if they were moving tasʿā.

.
yasʿā (يَسْعَىٰ)
(28:20:6) ... running. ...
(36:20:6) ... running. ...
(57:12:5) ... running, ...
(66:8:30) ... will run ...

28:20 A man came running yasʿā from the far side of the city, saying: "O Moses, the commanders are plotting to kill you, so leave immediately. I am giving you good advice."

36:20 A man came running yasʿā from the farthest part of the city, saying: "O my people, follow the messengers."

57:12 The day will come when you see the acknowledging men and the acknowledging women yasʿā  light radiating around them and to their right. "Good news is yours today, you will have paradises with flowing rivers, abiding therein. This is the great triumph!"

66:8 O you who acknowledge, you shall repent to God a sincere repentance. It may be that your Lord will remit your sins and admit you into paradises with rivers flowing beneath. On that day, God will not disappoint the prophet and those who acknowledged with him. Their light will radiate yasʿā around them and to their right. They will say, "Our Lord, keep perfect our light for us, and forgive us; You are able to do all things."

fa-is'ʿaw (فَٱسْعَوْا۟)
(62:9:10) ... then hasten ...

62:9 O you who acknowledge, if the contact prayer is called to on the day of assembly, then you shall hasten fa-is'ʿaw towards the remembrance of God, and cease all selling. This is better for you, if you only knew.1

saʿyan (سَعْيًا)
(2:260:34) ... (in) haste. ...

2:260 Abraham said, "My Lord, show me how you resurrect the dead." He said, "Do you not already acknowledge?" He said, "I do, but to assure my heart." He said, "Choose four birds, then cut them, then place parts of the birds on each mountain, then call them to you; they will come racing towards  saʿyan you. Know that God is Noble, Wise."80

l-saʿya (ٱلسَّعْىَ)
(37:102:4) ... the (age of) working with him ...

37:102 When he grew enough to work l-saʿya with him, he said, "My son, I am seeing arā in a dream  l-manāmi  that I am sacrificing you adhbauka . What do you tarā ?" He said, "O my father, do what you are commanded to do. You will find me, God willing, patient."

saʿyukum (سَعْيُكُم)
(76:22:7) ... your effort ...

76:22 "This is the reward for you, and your struggle saʿyukum is appreciated."

saʿyuhum (سَعْيُهُم)
(17:19:11) ... their effort, ...
(18:104:3) ... their effort ...

18:104 Those whose efforts saʿyuhum in the worldly life were wasted while they thought they were doing good!"

lisaʿyihi (لِسَعْيِهِۦ)
(21:94:9) ... [of] his effort. ...

21:94 So whosoever does good work and he is an acknowledger, then his efforts lisaʿyihi will not be rejected and We will record it for him.

lisaʿyihā (لِّسَعْيِهَا)
(88:9:1) ... With their effort ...

88:9 For their pursuit lisaʿyihā they are content.

saʿyahu (سَعْيَهُۥ)
(53:40:2) ... his striving ...

53:40 His works saʿyahu will be shown.

saʿyakum (سَعْيَكُمْ)
(92:4:2) ... your efforts ...

92:4 Your works saʿyakum are various.

saʿyahā (سَعْيَهَا)
(17:19:6) ... the effort, ...

Scales

wazanūhum (وَّزَنُوهُمْ)
(83:3:4) ... they weigh (for) them ...
wazinū (وَزِنُوا۟)
(17:35:5) ... and weigh ...
(26:182:1) ... And weigh ...
mawzūnin (مَّوْزُونٍ)
(15:19:11) ... well-balanced. ...
wal-waznu (وَٱلْوَزْنُ)
(7:8:1) ... And the weighing ...
l-mīzāni (ٱلْمِيزَانِ)
(55:8:4) ... the balance. ...
wal-mīzāna (وَٱلْمِيزَانَ)
(42:17:6) ... and the Balance. ...
waznan (وَزْنًا)
(18:105:14) ... any weight. ...
wal-mīzāna (وَٱلْمِيزَانَ)
(6:152:14) ... and the weight ...
(7:85:21) ... and the weight ...
(11:84:17) ... and the scale. ...
(11:85:4) ... and weight ...
(57:25:8) ... and the Balance ...
l-mīzāna (ٱلْمِيزَانَ)
(55:7:4) ... the balance, ...
(55:9:6) ... the balance. ...
l-wazna (ٱلْوَزْنَ)
(55:9:2) ... the weight ...
l-mawāzīna (ٱلْمَوَٰزِينَ)
(21:47:2) ... the scales ...
mawāzīnuhu (مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ)
(7:8:6) ... his scales, ...
(7:9:3) ... his scales, ...
(23:102:3) ... his scales, ...
(23:103:3) ... his scales, ...
(101:6:4) ... his scales, ...
(101:8:4) ... his scales, ...

83:3 When they are the ones giving measure or weight, they give less than due.

17:35 Give full measure when you deal, and weigh with a balance that is straight. That is good and better in the end.

26:182 "Weigh with the balance that is straight."

15:19 As for the land, We have stretched it, placed stabilizers in it, and We have planted in it everything in balance.

7:8 The scales on that day will be the truth. Whoever has heavy scales, these are the successful ones.

7:9 Whoever has light scales, these are the ones who lost themselves for they wrongfully treated Our signs.2

23:102 So, those whose weight is heavy on the scales, then those are the successful ones.

23:103 Those whose weight is light on the scales, those are the ones who lost themselves, in hell they will abide.

101:6 As for him whose weights are heavy.

101:8 As for him whose weights are light.

55:8 Do not transgress in the balance.

55:9 Observe the weight with equity, and do not fall short in the balance.

42:17 God is the One who sent down the book with truth, and the balance. For all that you know, the moment may be very near.

18:105 These are the ones who rejected the signs of their Lord and His meeting. So their works were in vain, and We will not give them any value on the day of Resurrection.

6:152 "Do not come near the money of the orphan, except for what is best, until he reached his maturity; and give honestly full measure and weight equitably. We do not burden a person beyond its capacity. When you speak you must observe justice, even if against a relative. You shall also observe the pledges you made to God. He has enjoined you this so that you may take heed."

7:85 To Midian, their brother Shuayb, he said, "My people, serve God, you have no god besides Him. Proof has come to you from your Lord, so give full weight and measure, and do not hold back from the people what belongs to them, and do not make mischief on the earth after it has been reformed. That is better for you if you acknowledge."

11:84 To Midian was their brother Shuayb, he said, "My people, serve God, you have no god besides Him, and do not give short in the measure and weight. I see you in prosperity, and I fear for you the retribution of a day that is surrounding."

11:85 "My people, give full measure and weight with justice, do not hold back from the people what is theirs, and do not roam the land corrupting."

57:25 We have sent Our messengers with clear proofs, and We sent down with them the book and the balance, that the people may uphold justice. We sent down the iron, wherein there is great strength, and many benefits for the people. So that God would distinguish those who would support Him and His messengers on acknowledgement. God is Powerful, Noble.3

55:7 He raised the sky and He established the balance.

21:47 We will place the scales of justice for the day of Resurrection, so that no person will be wronged in the least. Even if it was the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it. We are sufficient as a Reckoner.

Boat

l-safīnatu (ٱلسَّفِينَةُ)
(18:79:2) ... the ship, ...
safīnatin (سَفِينَةٍ)
(18:79:16) ... ship ...
l-safīnati (ٱلسَّفِينَةِ)
(18:71:6) ... the ship ...
(29:15:3) ... (of) the ship, ...

18:79 "As for the boat l-safīnatu, it belonged to some poor people who were working the sea, so I wanted to damage it as there was a king coming who takes every boat safīnatin by force."

18:71 So they ventured forth until they rode in a boat l-safīnati and he made a hole in it. He said, "Did you make a hole in it to drown its people? You have done something dreadful!"

29:15 So We saved him and the people on the Ship l-safīnati, and We made it a sign for the worlds.

Rocks

l-akhra (ٱلصَّخْرَ)
(89:9:4) ... the rocks ...
akhratin (صَخْرَةٍ)
(31:16:11) ... a rock ...
l-akhrati (ٱلصَّخْرَةِ)
(18:63:6) ... the rock? ...

89:9 Thamud who carved the rocks l-akhra in the valley?

31:16 "O my son, God will bring out anything, be it as small as a mustard seed, be it deep inside a rock akhratin , or be it in the heavens or the earth, God will bring it. God is Sublime, Ever-aware."

18:63 He said, "Do you remember when we rested upon the rock l-akhrati? I forgot the fish, and it was the devil that made me forget to adhkurahu . It made its way back to the sea amazingly!"

Fish

l-ūtu (ٱلْحُوتُ)
(37:142:2) ... the fish, ...
l-ūti (ٱلْحُوتِ)
(68:48:7) ... (of) the fish, ...
l-ūta (ٱلْحُوتَ)
(18:63:9) ... the fish. ...
ūtahumā (حُوتَهُمَا)
(18:61:6) ... their fish, ...
ītānuhum (حِيتَانُهُمْ)
(7:163:14) ... their fish ...

37:142 Thus l-ūtu swallowed him, and he was the one to blame.

68:48 You shall be patient for the judgment of your Lord. Do not be like the companion of l-ūti who called out while he was in sorrow.4

18:63 He said, "Do you remember when we rested upon the rock? I forgot the fish l-ūta, and it was the devil that made me forget to remember it. It made its way back to the sea amazingly!"

18:61 But when they did reach the junction between, they forgot their fish ūtahumā, and it was able to make its way back to the sea in a stream.

7:163 Ask them about the town which was by the sea, after they had transgressed the Sabbath; their fish ītānuhum would come to them openly on the day of their Sabbath, and when they were not in Sabbath, they would not come to them! It is such that We afflicted them for what they corrupted.

Alwah

lawin (لَوْحٍ)
(85:22:2) ...
lawwāatun (لَوَّاحَةٌ)
(74:29:1) ...
alwāin (أَلْوَٰحٍ)
(54:13:4) ...
l-alwāi (ٱلْأَلْوَاحِ)
(7:145:4) ...
l-alwāa (ٱلْأَلْوَاحَ)
(7:150:17) ...
(7:154:7) ...

85:22 In a lawin, preserved main.2

74:29  lawwāatun  to all the people lil'bashari.4

54:13 We carried him on a craft made of alwāin and mortar.4

7:145 We wrote for him on the l-alwāi from everything a lesson, and detailing all things. You shall uphold them firmly and order your people to take the best from it. I will show you the abode of the corrupt.24

7:150 When Moses returned to his people, angry and grieved, he said, "Miserable is what you have done after me; do you wish to hasten the action of your Lord?" He cast down the l-alwāa, and took his brother by his head dragging him towards him. He said, "Son of my mother, the people overpowered me and nearly killed me, so do not make the enemies rejoice over me, and do not make me with the wicked people."27

7:154 When the anger subsided from Moses, he took the  l-alwāa; and in its inscription was a guidance and mercy for those who revere their Lord.

Dawud

Dawud

2:251 So they defeated them by God's leave. Thus, David killed Goliath, and God gave him waātāhu  the kingship l-mul'ka and the wisdom wal-ik'mata and taught him waʿallamahu what mimmā He wished yashāu. Had it not been for God pushing the people to challenge one another, then the earth would have long been corrupted. But God has done favor over the worlds.*

4:163 We have inspired you as We have inspired Noah and the prophets after him. We inspired Abraham, and Ishmael, and Isaac, and Jacob, and the Patriarchs, and Jesus, and Job, and Jonah, and Aaron, and Solomon; and We have given David waātaynā dāwūda the zabūran.

5:78 Cursed are those who have rejected from among the Children of Israel by the tongue lisāni  of David dāwūda  and Jesus waʿīsā  son of Mary. That is for what they have disobeyed, and for what they transgressed.*

6:84 We granted him wawahabnā Isaac and Jacob, both of whom We guided; and Noah We guided all kullan hadaynā from before; and from his progeny is David, Solomon, Job, Joseph, Moses, and Aaron. It is such that We reward the good doers.

17:55 Your Lord is fully aware of who is in the heavens and the earth. We have preferred some prophets over others, and We gave waātaynā  David dāwūda  the zabūran.*

21:78 And David and Solomon, when they gave judgment yakumāni  in the case of the crop l-arthi that was damaged by the sheep of the people, and We were witness to their judgment liuk'mihim shāhidīna.

21:79 So We gave Solomon the correct understanding fafahhamnāhā, and both wakullan of them We have given ātaynā  wisdom uk'man  and knowledge waʿil'man. We committed the mountains l-jibāla with David to praise yusabbi'na as well as the birds wal-ayra. This is what We did.

21:80 We taught him waʿallamnāhu  the making of labūsin (armour) for you to protect you litu'inakum from your basikum. Are you then thankful?

27:15 We bestowed upon David and Solomon knowledge ʿil'man, and they both said, "Praise be to God who preferred us over many of His acknowledging servants."

27:16 Solomon inherited wawaritha from David, and he said, "O people, we have been taught ʿullim'nā  how to understand the speech maniqa of creatures that fly l-ayri, and we have been given waūtīnā from everything min kulli shayin. This is indeed an evident grace."

34:10 We granted David blessings falan from Us: "O mountains yājibālu, glorify with him, as well as the birds." We softened wa-alannā  the iron l-adīda for him .

34:13 They made for him what he desired of maārība, and statues watamāthīla, and pools of deep reservoirs wajifānin, and heavy pots kal-jawābi. "O family of David, work to show thanks." Only a few of My servants are appreciative.*

38:17 Be patient to what they say, and recall Our servant David, the dhā l-aydi. He was innahu  obedient awwābun.

38:22 When they entered upon David, he was startled by them. They said, "Have no fear. We are two who have disputed khamāni, and one has wronged baghā  the other baʿunā ʿalā  baʿin, so judge fa-u'kum  between us baynanā with truth bil-aqi, and do not wrong us walā tush'i, and guide us wa-ih'dinā to the right path ilā sawāi l-irāi."

38:24 He said, "He has wronged you alamaka by asking bisuāli  to combine your lambs with his lambs. Many who mix their properties take advantage layabghī  of one another, except those who acknowledge and do good works, and these are very few." David guessed that We had tested him, so he sought forgiveness from his Lord, and fell down wakharra rākiʿan, and repented wa-anāba.*

38:26 O David, We have made you jaʿalnāka a successor khalīfatan on earth. Therefore, you shall judge fa-u'kum  among bayna the people l-nāsi with truth bil-aqi, and do not follow desire walā  tattabiʿi  l-hawā, lest it diverts you fayuillaka from the path sabīli of God l-lahi. Indeed, those who stray off the path of God will have a severe retribution for forgetting the day of Reckoning.

38:30 To David We granted wawahabnā lidāwūda Solomon sulaymāna. What an excellent and obedient servant
